A Cyst is essentially a closed sac which the body has created which encloses air, fluids, or semi-solid material.  It has distinct membrane and is separated from nearby tissue.  An abscess which is a collection of pus is not a cyst.

Polyps are fleshy growths and depending where they occur in the body have different classifications. Essentially they are either malignant or benign.

Staph Infections are caused by the bacteria Staphylococcus. It can create a wide variety of infections in human beings as well as other animals through either exotoxin production (it's excrement) or through invasion.
